What is 7 W New York™?
7 W New York is a wholesale mart building, catering to the buyers of Home Décor, Table Top, Giftware, Textiles and Decorative Accessories.
Where is 7 W New York located?
We are located on 34th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, just opposite the Empire State Building.
What are the building’s hours?
7 W New York is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are also open during special market weeks as indicated in our Calendar of Events.
How often does 7 W New York host trade shows/market weeks?
7 W New York participates in an average of 9 trade shows per calendar year. These shows usually run in conjunction with shows at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and other mart buildings, such as 41 Madison and 230 Fifth Avenue.
Are you associated with the old 225 Building?
We are not affiliated with 225. We are a new mart owned by Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI), the largest property manager specializing in buildings devoted to wholesale showrooms. We have mart buildings that span from L.A. to Chicago and High Point, with design centers in Boston and Washington D.C.
Do you have a buyers’ lounge?
Yes, our buyers’/designers’ lounge, Club 7W, is located on the 7th Floor, Suite 743.
Where is your pressroom?
The pressroom is located on the 9th Floor, Suite 945.
Do you have a Café or restaurant in the building?
Yes, our 7 W Café is located in the lobby of our building. Though there are no seating arrangements there, we have seating in either our buyers’ lounge, Suite 743, or our 7 W Café located in Suite 539.
What is the Registration Policy at your building?
We require our attendees to provide 2 forms of business I.D. to gain access to our building. A list of approved credentials can be found inside the 7 W Directory or by clicking here. Please be aware that the 7W badge is updated every Gift Week, so if you do not have a Mart Card you will be re-credentialed every Gift Week.
Can I register over the phone?
Registration must be done either in person at 7 W New York or via the Web site registration page.
What are the approved forms of business credentials that are required to complete the registration process?

Does my registering at 7 W New York, give me access at other locations (i.e Javits Center, 41 Madison, 230 Fifth Avenue)?
Yes. We acknowledge the badges from these locations, however be prepared to present your credentials to each location as each registration policy is different.
Do you mail out your badges?
Badges are not mailed, however, you may expedite the registration process by pre-registering on our Web site or you may register in person.
Is there a fee to register at 7 W New York?
We do not charge a registration fee.
Is 7 W New York open to the public?
The building is open to the trade only.
Are guests allowed in the building?
Yes, guests are allowed with an accompanying credentialed buyer. Guests must also present a photo I.D and sign in our 7 W New York Guest Book. We will then issue a guest badge as a one-time entry into the building.
Are children allowed in the building?
Yes, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
Are there parking facilities near 7 W New York?
Yes, there are numerous parking lots at the backside of building (on 35th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues). You may park there anytime and receive a cash rebate during market weeks and First Tuesdays.

The building operates on a permanent showroom occupancy basis.
How many showrooms do you have at 7 W New York?
We have over 200 showrooms in the building.
Are the showrooms in your building arranged by product?
The showrooms are mixed throughout the building. With easy-to-navigate floor directories, buyers have the opportunity to find hidden treasure.
