One Source is a favorite resource for furniture and lighting, catering to high-end residential and contract specifiers in the Chicagoland area. They are excited to open their new showroom in February 2007 to accommodate the high demand for lighting options and will feature Nessen and Fontana Arte Lighting. Nessen was founded by Walter von Nessen, who in 1927 introduced his first important lighting concept, the swing arm lamp. Nessen's signature is its clean lines and classically pleasing proportions which stand the test of time. Fontana Arte (image shown) is an Italian based company who will celebrate 75 years of design in 2007. They have worked with many internationally well known designers such as Vico Magistretti, Norman Foster, David Chipperfield and Ettore Sottsass. Fontana Arte is best known for its expertise in glass as well as in creating timeless design. Both lines are built of the finest materials and are of contract quality. Additionally, there will be many pieces available on a quick ship program.
The 800-square-foot One Source showroom will be designed by Mary Helen Pratt, principle of Studios LLC and will be located on the 16th floor, just off the center elevator banks, in Suite 1619A.
