MERCHANDISE MART PROPERTIES, INC. PROMOTES ANN FRULAND TO DIRECTOR OF MARKETING FOR THE CHICAGO MARKET: LIVING AND GIVING

CHICAGO, IL (June 21, 2007) – Merchandise Mart Properties. Inc. (MMPI) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ann Fruland to Director of Marketing for The Chicago Market: Living and Giving. Fruland will be responsible for marketing Chicago’s four gift markets each year as well as the day-to-day activities of the gift and home showrooms at The Merchandise Mart. Fruland will report to Craig Dooley, vice president of marketing, MMPI.

Previously, as a member of MMPI’s marketing communications team, Fruland played an integral role in managing the marketing communications of the company’s gift and home properties, including the launch of 7 W New York and the rebranding of The Chicago Market: Living and Giving.

“With her depth and breadth of experience in communications paired with a proven understanding of the gift industry and market dynamics, Ann is the ideal candidate for this critical position,” said Dooley. “We are thrilled to have Ann take this next step in her career with MMPI.”

Before joining MMPI in 2005, Fruland worked for Blanco & Peace Public Relations in Chicago. Fruland earned a bachelor of arts degree from The University of Iowa.
