One of a Kind Show and Sale® Chicago FIRST LOOK EVENING, 6–9 p.m.

This opening will include live music and a fashion show of wearable art. Admission to the opening is included with the $10 general ticket (re-entry passes will be available). Ticket sales from this night will be donated to support Children’s Memorial Hospital’s Division of Endocrinology.

Open to the public, the show is both the best fine art and fine craft exhibition and sale

in the city and the best place to shop for one-of-a-kind holiday gifts. The One of a Kind

Show and Sale® Chicago offers original work from more than 350 juried artists and artisans from around the world, showcasing and selling their finest art and handcrafted creations. Visitors can meet the artists, learn the stories behind their work and shop the best in fine art and fine craft—from the simple to the lavish in all price ranges.

More than 50,000 square feet of space located on the eighth floor of The Merchandise Mart in an easy-to-shop, gallery-like, weather-protected environment.

This shopping adventure features fine art and fine craft for sale in a variety of media, including painting, photography, sculpture, glass art, furniture, jewelry and fashion. Each piece is made by hand, one piece at a time.

The One of a Kind Show and Sale Chicago will expand to include a much-sought-after gourmet section, The Gourmet Gallery and a holiday section, Holiday Artistry. The Gourmet Gallery will include items such as homemade jams, dips, sauces, baked goods and sweets, as well as one-of-a-kind kitchen and dining accessories. There also will be cooking demonstrations and wine tastings. Holiday Artistry will be a specialty area at the show dedicated to holiday-themed decorations and accessories.

More than 350 North American fine artists and craftspeople.

More than 25,000 visitors are expected.

• One of a Kind Design Contest, a $1,500 scholarship competition for Gallery 37 apprentices. The winning design will be featured on the complimentary show shopping bags and each of the entries will be on display and for sale.

• The Artist Series consisting of 20-minute, artist-led booth talks in which visitors to the show can meet the artists, hear the stories behind their work and view live demonstrations. Scheduled throughout the three days of the show.

• Seminars and Panel Discussions, taking place on the show floor and led by

national arts and crafts experts.

• Daily Entertainment, including holiday music and performances, fashion shows, a hands-on children’s crafts area and other family activities.

Coat and package check, packaging and shipping services provided by Propak, Inc.,

a child care center, sports lounge and gourmet cafes provided by food stuffs.
