Save the Date 2005 One of a Kind Show and Sale® Chicago at The Merchandise Mart
CHICAGO (Sept. 28, 2005) – Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc.'s (MMPI) One of a Kind Show and Sale®, Chicago's most exciting holiday shopping show and fine art festival, returns for a fifth year with exceptional fine art and craft, educational seminars, live entertainment, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Taking place Dec. 2 – 4, with a first look evening on Thursday, Dec. 1, the 2005 One of a Kind Show and Sale Chicago will feature more than 50,000 square feet of the very best in original painting, sculpture, glass, photography, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, wearable art and furniture. Over the three-day shopping event, more than 350 of North America's leading fine artists and craftspeople will showcase unique, hand-crafted, quality pieces to an anticipated 25,000 holiday shoppers.
This year, the One of a Kind Show and Sale Chicago will expand to include a much-sought-after gourmet section, The Gourmet Gallery and a holiday section, Holiday Artistry. The Gourmet Gallery will include items such as homemade jams, dips, sauces, baked goods and sweets, as well as one-of-a-kind kitchen and dining accessories. There will also be cooking demonstrations and wine tastings. Holiday Artistry will be a specialty area at the show dedicated to holiday-themed decorations and accessories, and will include festive carolers and window displays.
“We are dedicated to producing an incredible showcase, and our loyal and growing following can plan to expect even more from the One of a Kind Show and Sale Chicago coming December 2005,” said Joan Ulrich, senior vice president, MMPI.
Visitors to the One of a Kind Show and Sale Chicago come to discover unique, beautiful items that they don't find anywhere else, as well as to experience the ambiance of a gallery and the unique opportunity to meet every artist in person. Whether buying for personal collections or to give the gift of art, the show is the must-attend shopping event of the holiday season. In addition to the great gifts and shopping, the show would not be complete without the enjoyable on-site amenities such as packaging, shipping services provided by Propak, Inc., a child care center, coat and package check; as well as a sports lounge and three gourmet cafes provided by foodstuffs.
