WHAT: Los Angeles is a mecca for high-style, trend-setting products and innovative design. From March 27-30, 2006, L.A. will be transformed into a citywide celebration of design during L.A. DesignWeek™. The revival of this exciting week draws on the resurgence in the contract furnishings industry and the spirit of partnership in L.A.’s design community to create a truly unique event specifically for the West Coast.
NeoCon West®, the West Coast’s largest exposition and conference for commercial interiors and the built environment, will kick off L.A. DesignWeek, March 27-28, with a host of boutique-style exhibits, special events and educational programming. NeoCon West highlights the ideas and innovations being generated on the West Coast through enlightening keynotes, product and the West Edge challenge featuring six different environments designed by Gensler, Interior Architects, Langdon Wilson, HOK and Klawiter & Associates.
WHO: L.A. DesignWeek/NeoCon West is an essential resource for designers, architects, specifiers, facility managers, students and anyone interested in gaining access to some of the industry’s most important manufacturers and influential thinkers.
WHY: For the first time ever, each day of L.A. DesignWeek will focus on a different design district around the city and feature a full schedule of product displays, seminars, networking and parties. L.A. DesignWeek encompasses NeoCon West at the L.A. Mart, major contract furnishings showrooms in downtown Los Angeles, the Santa Monica Design District, West Week at the Pacific Design Center and the Avenues of Art and Design in West Hollywood. Showrooms include Haworth, Steelcase and Knoll. This comprehensive schedule of events and locations allows thousands of designers, facility managers and real estate professionals to navigate the immense offerings.
