HIGH POINT (Sept. 15, 2005) – Retailers attending the International Home Furnishings Market® in High Point, N.C., Oct. 20-26, 2005, will find a multitude of new rug product introductions in the world’s home furnishings capital.
“Market Square is the literal showcase of the latest in area rugs. It's a must-shop for every retailer," said Tom Mitchell, senior vice president, High Point, Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI).
The following is a sample of new rug products that will debut in October:
• 828 International Trading Company displays two new lines with distinct designs. Mystique Collection is a contemporary selection of rugs with drop-stitch accents for a hand-carved look, and Calandrea Collection is a classic collection of rugs that replicate the look of old-world Peshawar.

• Eliko Antique & Decorative Rugs features its collection of Antique Oushaks Rugs, an assortment of fine antique Turkish Oushaks in various sizes and color combinations.

• Foreign Accents presents two new area rugs. SYY4101 is from the Riviera collection, made of 100 percent New Zealand wool and is hand-tufted in China. The FEB2342 is from the Fiesta collection, composed of 100 percent modified acrylic and is hand-tufted in China.

• Hellenic Rug Imports, Inc. introduces a selection of hand-made and machine-made rugs by a variety of designers, priced for furniture store retailers.

• Colonial Mills offers a new collection of Woolrich® braided-texture area rugs and accessories, including stair treads, chair pads, trivets, hampers, baskets, heart rugs, rug slices, pillows and tote bags.

• TransOcean introduces Tuscany Dream Garden. Available in three colors (sage, natural and mink), this new area rug is hand-tufted in China of 100 percent wool pile and is a graceful design from the Liora by Liora Manne Collection for TransOcean.

• Tyndall Creek Outdoor Rug Collection has developed a new line of rugs specifically engineered for outdoor use. The company’s goal is to add warmth and beauty to the outdoor environment with an assortment of rugs that range from colorful to classic.
