These new showrooms bring hundreds of new products to High Point, many of which are not seen anywhere else in the United States. A few of the new product additions include:
• Rare artwork called “needle painting on silk” from East Grandview, Inc. (Suites at Market Square, Suite1-1210). The 100 percent, hand-made Chinese embroidered artwork from Grandview incorporates both oriental and Western designs in its elaborate wall hangings.
• Beautiful handbags from Indonesia at Artmosphere (Suites at Market Square, Suite 1-1008) made from natural materials in “World Heritage,” protected villages in Vietnam and Indonesia. The 7-year-old international import, wholesale, manufacturing and design company provides furniture, lighting and exotic textiles for the wholesale, retail and design trade markets.
• Interactive Home Furnishings from Front Porch Classics, Inc. (Suites at Market Square, Suite 1-1207), like the Coffee Table Games Raceway ’57 and Old Century Baseball in beautifully illustrated tri-fold wooden boxes. Front Porch Classics combines four essential elements: rich story telling, elegant design, ageless appeal and limitless play into their games made of high-quality, durable materials. The games are built to last a lifetime and are designed to connect family and friends through play.
• The Japanese Shinto and American Mission hardwood collections from Catawissa/Baili Fine Arts & Crafts (Suites at Market Square, Suite 1-906), a union of an American hardwood manufacturer in Pennsylvania and a traditional Chinese furniture manufacturer in Beijing who share a passion for uncompromising craftsmanship and a love of timeless furniture.
• Fur and leather rugs, throws, pillows and drapes from Feld Co. Group Corporation (Suites at Market Square, Suite 1-1341), which brings its collection to the Unites States for the first time.
• Pure wool blankets, bedding and tapestries from Pendleton. The 140-year-old company known for weaving high-quality goods finds a home in Suite 1-814 in the Suites at Market Square.
• The Vermeil, Anno and Mosteiro Collections from Marcusso Designs, which makes its debut at High Point after four years of selling high-end furniture to designers and upscale showrooms and stores. The contemporary lines of stylish, one-of-a-kind, expertly crafted pieces that go beyond the ordinary, all originate in Brazil.
The International Home Furnishings Market’s seven-day event encompasses 12 million square feet and draws more than 80,000 attendees from more than 60 channels of distribution, such as home furnishings dealers, department stores, specialty stores, catalog companies, discount/mass merchandisers and regional chain stores.
